The fan was found guilty of “two crimes against moral integrity, aggravated by racist motives,” as per Real Madrid’s official statement.
The incidents took place during Real Madrid’s 1-0 loss to Mallorca in February 2023, when the fan racially abused Vinicius, and two weeks later, he targeted Chukwueze, who now plays for AC Milan.

The prison sentence has been suspended, as the defendant issued an apology to Vinicius and demonstrated remorse through a written letter. He also completed an equality and anti-discrimination program, the statement added.
This is the third criminal conviction in recent months related to racist abuse directed at Real Madrid players, especially Vinicius, who has been a frequent target of such offenses since his arrival in Spain in 2018.
In June, three Valencia fans were sentenced to eight months in prison for racially abusing the Brazilian forward during a match in May 2023, sparking international outcry.
Madrid also confirmed that another Mallorca supporter, a minor, was banned from stadiums for a year after racially abusing midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. The minor has apologized and agreed to complete socio-educational activities as part of his punishment.
