Eko Hot Blog reports that the 8-day Fidau prayer for the late Imam Temimu Ajadi Ismail was held on Wednesday, attracting a large congregation of family, friends, and community members who came together to honour his memory.

During the ceremony, heartfelt prayers were offered for the repose of his soul, with clerics sharing moving testaments to his virtuous deeds during his lifetime.
Sheikh Sadalla, the Chief Imam of Epe, Lagos State, delivered a poignant message, praising Alhaji Ismail as a true man of God.
He emphasized that the deceased’s name and legacy will endure, stating that, “His contributions to our community and faith will not be forgotten.”
In recognition of his significant impact on the mosque and the community, two of Alhaji Ismail’s children were awarded the crown (Lawani) of commitment.
This honour acknowledged the lasting influence of their father’s dedication and service.
In his address, Sheikh Sadalla also advised the gathered congregation to lead exemplary lives so that they, too, will be remembered positively after their passing.
“We should strive to live in a manner that will be remembered with respect and admiration, just as we remember Alhaji Ismail,” he advised.
The children of Alhaji Ismail reflected on their father’s remarkable character and the deep void his passing has left.
