The Police in Lagos have arrested Kingsley Achugbu, 35, for allegedly defiling his 2-year-old daughter and house maid.
A statement on Tuesday by Police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the maid reported the matter to the police at Festac Division.
The victim was accompanied to the station by Mrs. Justina Nelson of the Children and Vulnerable Persons Network.
The baby has been taken to the hospital for medical examination and expert report for further investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu while reacting to the incident, has ordered that the matter be transferred to the Gender Unit of the Command.

Odumosu appealed to residents to report all cases of sexual harassment, assault and domestic violence to the police, relevant agencies and non-governmental organisations.
