EKO HOT BLOG reports that a man, identified as Ifeanyi Njoku, has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Precious Okeke, 24, in an estate at Badore, in the Ajah area of Lagos State.
According to the press release, a native doctor who was accompanying the suspect instructed him to have carry out the dirty act of killing his girl friend, and sleeping with her dead body afterwards.
Njoku was said to have engaged in the illicit act with the corpse for about six days, as the stench emanating from his apartment prompted his neighbours to inform the management of the estate.
According to Elizabeth John, Okeke’s decomposing body was discovered during a check of the flat.
“About six days ago, the boy killed his girlfriend, and he revealed that he planned to exploit the female for money rituals,” she stated. He said that he was instructed to have sex with his girlfriend’s corpse for seven days, but that he was caught on the sixth day. It’s meant to be the seventh day today (Monday).
“The scent of the dead had been bothering the compound’s neighbors and other occupants.” So they phoned the estate chairman for assistance in confirming what was going on in the apartment, and they discovered the girl’s body while searching the apartment.
“The young man was apprehended and transferred to the Lamgbasa Police Station, where he confessed to killing his girlfriend six days ago during questioning.”
“We discovered that the young man promised N6 million to solve the issue; we also discovered that he had his village girlfriend with him and that they had just moved into the estate.”
The incident was confirmed by state Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, who added that the deceased and the suspect were lovers.
