A man has been bitten to death by Catholic Church dogs in Lagos.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force and residents of the Abule Egba area of the state are currently in search of two dogs that reportedly bit a man to death at night.
The two German shepherds, this online media platform learnt, are meant to be guarding a Catholic church in the area but strayed into the street and bit one Hashiru Isah to death.

The victim was reportedly on his way home around 11:30 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, when the dogs descended on him. During the attack, the dogs reportedly bit Isah in different parts of his body.
Residents are said to have rescued Isah from the dogs and immediately rushed him to the Orile Agege General Hospital where he later died.
The PUNCH reported that a relative of the victim informed the Oke-Odo Police Station personnel of the situation after which operatives were drafted to the scene to commence an investigation.
Relatives of the deceased are said to have expressed sadness over the development, but thereafter retrieved Isah’s corpse for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

“The attack happened in the night. The dogs strayed onto the streets and bit him to death. The dogs are still missing; someone took them away. The victim’s family members are Hausa; they were not interested in police investigation and went ahead to bury his corpse,” the source who confirmed the incident to newsmen said.
