EKO HOT BLOG reports that a 30-year-old Lagos resident identified as Nnanna Kalu, who was arrested and turned over to the State Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) at Gbagada General Hospital for stealing a laptop, has been found guilty.
According to the RRS, Kalu, 30, was sentenced to 15 months in prison by the Lagos State Mobile Court on Monday.
A CCTV camera at the medical facility caught him snatching a worker’s laptop a few weeks ago.
Kalu went to the hospital last week to steal again but was caught and apprehended.
The inmate was wearing the same t-shirt and pants he was wearing the first time the camera recognized him.
Kalu confessed that he robbed hospitals in Lagos under the guise of seeking treatment.
He disclosed theft at Randle General Hospital in Surulere, BRT terminal in Yaba, Ikeja, among others.
