Man Caught With Bus-Load Of Stolen Fuel In Ejigbo
A bus transporting illegally-bunkered fuel in Ejigbo area of Lagos State was intercepted by operatives of the Anti-Crime Unit attached to the Lagos State Police Command, at Canoe area of Ejigbo, with one of the three suspects, Wasiu Oyewole, arrested.
The operatives led by Sergeant Sunday Joseph suspected the bus which was painted in Lagos commercial colours at the front, with the rest of the body painted blue.
On sighting the policemen, the three occupants of the bus jumped down and fled in different directions.
The policemen pursued them and caught up with one of the suspects at Agodo Egbe, Lagos, while the remaining two jumped into the canal and escaped. The suspect confessed that he and his cohorts loaded the FIAT Bus with sacks filled with petrol, claiming that NNPC pipeline was vandalised in Owutu area of Agric in Ikorodu, from where the products were loaded while their intended sales point is Ijegun.
