Eko Hot Blog reports that in a somber incident, a middle-aged man’s life came to an abrupt end at a local sports bar in Lagos.
The unidentified patron, a regular fixture at the establishment, had settled in to watch a football match on Thursday, May 16th. However, when the final whistle blew, attempts to rouse him from his motionless state were in vain.

“He was a familiar face here,” the bar owner remarked solemnly. “We tried everything to wake him up, but he wouldn’t respond.”
The distressing discovery prompted an immediate call to the Elere Police Division, and officers swiftly arrived to investigate the scene.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the tragic details. “The owner reported that one of his male customers in his 50s came to watch television,” he stated. “When they tried to wake him, he was lifeless.”
Hundeyin added, “Our detectives visited the scene and found the deceased on a chair without any visible injuries.”

The body has been transported to the Mainland General Hospital mortuary for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Efforts are also underway to locate the man’s family members.
