Man Docked For Stealing Property Of Nigeria Railway Corporation
A man, Segun Omodara, has been docked by an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing six train signal lamp-holders.
Omodara, arraigned on Monday, is facing trial on a three-count charge bordering on trespassing, conspiracy to wit felony and stealing.
According to the prosecutor, Insp. E. Ita-Ita, the defendant committed the offences on Feb. 21, about 5.00 p.m., at Signal and Communication Section, NRC compound, Ebute Meta.

Ita alleged that the defendant and others, still at large, had trespassed into the compound and stolen six train signal lamp-holders valued at N250,000 belonging to the corporation.
Ita-Ita said the offences contravene sections 287, 357 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
He pleaded guilty and the Chief Magistrate, Mr. Alex Komolafe, ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Ikoyi correctional facility and adjourned the case until March 9 for facts and sentencing.
