A 70-year-old father, Godwin Ezeofor, has reportedly been axed to death by his 37-year-old son, Chigorom Ezeofor, in Aguata local government area of Anambra state.
The Spokesperson, Anambra State Command, SP Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the killing said that a younger brother of the deceased reported the killing.

According to Mohammed, “following the report, police operatives attached to Aguata Division led by the DPO CSP Ayeni Oluwadare mobilised to scene and rushed the victim to the hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor and the corpse has been deposited at a hospital mortuary for autopsy.
He also said, the suspect who “look insane” had been arrested and taken to the station for discreet investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.
