A middle age man has been sentenced to five strokes of cane by a mobile court in Kano for violating the lockdown order in the state.
The court, sitting at Gwale local government, headed by Magistrate Salisu Idris found the convict guilty of violating the lock down order and sentenced him accordingly.

However, the convict served the sentence on the spot.
The court also convicted 14 persons for roaming without satisfactory explanation.
The convicts were handed fines and rendering of community services as punishment for violating the lock down order.
