Man Reportedly Slumps, Dies In Port Harcourt Bank

A man has reportedly slumped and died at a First City Monument Bank in Port Harcourt due to what eyewitnesses describe as “frustration and unfriendly treatment by the customer service officers of the bank.”

The bank customer, who hails from Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, breathed his last in front of the bank premises on Tuesday.

It was alleged that the deceased was refused access to his money since Friday even after producing his next of kin as required by the bank.

“He was asked to go to the court to get an affidavit knowing the court is not in session.

” The man was vomitting and at the same time begging for him to have access to his own money yet he was denied. Having been left unattended to for more than 5 hours, he just died now few minutes ago at FCMB Education bus stop Ikwerre road, Mile 1,” an eyewitness said.
