20-Year-Old Man Shot Dead By Gunmen In Okokomaiko, Lagos
Four armed men stormed the Okokomaiko community in the Ojo area of Lagos State over the weekend, killing a 20-year-old man. The attackers announced their presence with sporadic gunfire before pursuing their target, who fled into a building on Abeokuta Street.
Despite his efforts to escape, the assailants caught up with him and shot him multiple times in the head, stomach, and leg, leading to his death.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the shooting occurred around 11:10 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024.
He explained that at approximately 11:30 p.m., concerned residents informed the police that four unidentified gunmen had chased a young man and shot him to death before fleeing to an unknown location.
“Upon receiving the report, a team of anti-crime officers responded to the scene and met one Vivian, the mother of the deceased, who identified him as her 20-year-old son. His body was taken to IDH Mortuary, Yaba, Lagos,” Hundeyin stated.
The police are actively investigating the case, with efforts underway to track down the fleeing suspects for possible arrest and prosecution.
