Both teams had their chances in instances within the game. Brighton were able to register 5 shots on target as against Manchester United who had 6 despite having 39 percent of the possession in the game.
Whatever little possession of the ball Man United had, was enough to force a penalty shoot out after 120 mins of game play.

The penalty therein lied the unfair outcome to an exciting game that shouldn’t have left luck to be it’s decider. The penalty outcome rubbed football of a final that would have been a greater affair compared to a Manchester derby. It robbed us of Brighton and Hove Albion vs. Manchester City in a final.
