Eko Hot Blog reports that Manchester United secured a dominant 2-0 victory against Arsenal in their pre-season clash, with Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho stealing the spotlight. Sancho, who struggled to find his form last season, proved his worth with an impressive performance.
The match started with both teams showing intensity, but it was Manchester United who took the lead in the 30th minute. Bruno Fernandes unleashed a stunning shot from outside the box, leaving Arsenal’s goalkeeper with no chance to stop it.
Seven minutes later, a costly mistake from Gabriel, the Arsenal defender, opened the door for Jadon Sancho to capitalize on the opportunity and extend United’s lead to 2-0 in the 37th minute.
While Arsenal had their chances, their finishing lacked precision. Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz came close to finding the back of the net but failed to convert their opportunities.
As the game went into penalties to decide the winner, Manchester United continued their dominance. They emerged victorious with a 5-3 scoreline in the shootout, with only Fabio Viera missing the target from the spot. Christian Eriksen, on the other hand, remained composed and sealed the win for the Red Devils.
