Man Utd Not Ready For Premier League Opener – Ten Hag

Erik ten Hag has admitted that Manchester United are not fully prepared for their Premier League opener against Fulham on Friday night.

Ten Hag confirmed that recent signings Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui will be included in the squad for Fulham’s visit to Old Trafford, but Joshua Zirkzee and teenage defender Leny Yoro will miss the match.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that additionally, Ten Hag is managing the fitness of several players who joined pre-season training late due to international duties.

“It’s true that this pre-season has been challenging. We’ve had players come in at different times, and now we have new signings to integrate,” Ten Hag said.

“The team isn’t ready yet, but the league is starting, and we have to deal with it. We can’t hide from it.”

Despite the challenges, Ten Hag expressed confidence in the squad’s strength, emphasizing that focus remains on the players who are available.

He confirmed that De Ligt, Mazraoui, and Harry Maguire, who picked up a knock in the Community Shield, will be in the squad for the opener.
