EKO HOT BLOG reports that Manchester United’s interest in Tottenham Hotspur star, Harry Kane is one that stands a boogey move due to the risks involved in such negotiations.
According to recent reports, Manchester United may be facing a hefty bill if they pursue their interest in signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane during the summer transfer window.
The club has recently implemented a ‘Ronaldo rule’ which caps players’ salaries at £200,000 per week, but Kane’s expected wages of £375,000 per week could force United to make a U-turn on this rule.
Additionally, Manchester United would also have to pay a signing-on fee for Harry Kane, as well as a transfer fee to Tottenham, potentially bringing the total cost of the transfer to an estimated £300 million.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has a reputation for being tough in transfer negotiations, and Kane’s contract with the club runs until 2024 should he not renew the contract.
However, if recent reports and speculations are to be believed, Harry Kane stands to reach an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for a new deal that keeps him in North London.
The report alleges the England international is willing to lead Spurs to a trophy glory despite initially wanting a move from the club 2 summer transfer windows ago.
The topic of Harry Kane exiting Tottenham Hotspur has been one that has seen itself become an urban myth of sorts, and each time, a Manchester club is mentioned in line with the striker’s name.
