Many Feared Dead As Bandits Attack Zamfara Village

Recently, bandits have been found dominating and threatening the country’s stability. The Bandits are notorious for murdering, kidnapping, rapping, and damaging property in many parts of the country, especially in the north.

At least seven people were confirmed to have suffered serious injuries and are being treated at the General Hospital in Magami city after bandits attacked the community, according to residents.

“When the bandits were spotted in the village, the villagers came out in large numbers to fight them,” Mallam Mohammed said while speaking with a local.

“They had come to seek vengeance for their members who had died in an ambush set up by the villagers a few weeks earlier.”

“We were informed that the bandits planned to assault us during Friday prayers in a mosque; as a result, we mobilized and moved to the forest, where we ambushed them and killed several of them.”

“That is why, in order to avenge the deaths of their members, they targeted us again yesterday.”

“The bandits and villagers battled for more than three hours before military personnel from Magami town arrived in the village to assist us.”

He went on to say that three soldiers and five villagers were killed in the clash.

Attempts to obtain input from Operation Hadarin Daji were unsuccessful.

Only the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, according to an army officer who requested anonymity, will talk to the press about information distribution problems.
