EKO HOT BLOG reports that many have been feared dead in a fuel tanker explosion at the Amoke village in Apa Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday morning when the fuel-laden tanker went into flame in the area.
An eyewitness, who spoke on the incident, said that the number of deaths could not be ascertained at the moment.
The source further revealed that the incident led to panic in the area as economic activities were brought to an abrupt halt.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the explosion was confirmed by the Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Benue State, Yakubu Mohammed.
The FRSC Commander, however, noted that only three persons were killed.
Mohammed, who attributed the unfortunate incident to brake failure, added that no other person sustained injury aside from the three victims.
He further disclosed that the fire was put out after some hours, noting that there was no Fire Service stationed close to the scene of the incident.
