Just as the time he has emerged as the Nigerian music star with the largest streaming numbers on YouTube, Davido was at it again yesterday, with the “Fall” singer saying many people hate him in the music industry because of his father’s money.
In a video posted on Instagram on the sidelines of the release of the video for his single, “Blow My Mind” along with American singer, Chris Brown, Davido got into a bit of rant, saying: “Yes, I want to thank all my brothers and sisters and fans, the people that supported me, that supported the single. I want to thank Chris (Brown), of course, Chris.”
Going further, he said: “Me I’m already used to it. I’ve been in the industry for seven years and nobody supports me. It’s just hate from morning to night, it’s just hate. Because of what? My papa get money, na my fault? I work hard, I deliver hits, I take care of my people. So if you got a problem with me…”
