Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre has gotten accreditation for an Oncology Residency Programme.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre & Specialist Hospital has received accreditation by the National Postgraduate Medical College (NPMC) to offer Residency programmes in Clinical and Radiation Oncology.

The hospital’s Co-Founder and CEO, Dr Modupe Elebute-Odunsi, disclosed the development in a statement on Tuesday.
The feat makes Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre and Specialist Hospital the first private hospital in Nigeria to achieve this accolade in the field of Oncology.
“We are delighted to participate in much-needed capacity building to increase the number of Oncology specialists by the provision of first-class postgraduate Clinical and Radiation Oncology training within the country,” Dr Elebute-Odunsi said.
“This initiative is in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 17 to improve capacity building.”
The Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre and Specialist Hospital CEO also hailed Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, for playing a “pivotal role” with “collaborative policies” instrumental in integrating the private sector into post-graduate training initiatives.
“This partnership marks a significant step towards fortifying the capacity of our healthcare workforce in the specialized field of oncology,” she said.
