Mass Burial Held for 15 Kebbi Residents Killed by New Terror Group, Lakurawa
Fifteen victims of a tragic attack by the new terror group, Lakurawa, on Mera village in the Augie Local Government Area of Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria, have been laid to rest in a mass burial.
The funeral prayer was attended by Deputy Governor Umar Tafida, the Commissioner of Police along with other security chiefs, and the Emir of Argungu, HRH Isma’ila Mera.
Tafida conveyed condolences and support to the bereaved families, affirming that the State Governor stands with them and will work closely with security agencies to prevent future incidents.
The Emir of Argungu, in his remarks, emphasized unity and resilience, urging security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure community safety.
The funeral service included prayers for peace and for the repose of the departed souls, with renewed commitments to regional security and stability.
The government also reassured citizens of ongoing efforts to protect lives and prevent similar tragedies.
