MC Oluomo Appointed Lagos NURTW Chairman, Agbede Exco Dissolved

There are reports that the national president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Comrade Baruwa, has appointed Mr. Musillu Akinsanya a.k.a. MC Oluomo, as the caretaker chairman, Lagos State chapter of the union.

The source that monitored the development said that Mr. Baruwa issued a statement on Tuesday dissolving the executive committee of the state chapter hitherto headed by Comrade Tajudeen Agbede who is now Baruwa’s deputy, and replaced it with an 18- member caretaker committee led by MC Oluomo.

Recall that MC Oluomo, who is the chairman of Oshodi Branch, Lagos chapter of the union, is one of those contesting for the Lagos State NURTW chairmanship.

He is also vying for the chairmanship position of the chapter.

The caretaker committee will oversee the Lagos Chapter until election of new executive.

Several calls made to MC Oluomo’s MTN line, 0803716… rang out. Also, text messages sent to both Oluomo and Agbede to confirm the development were not replied.
