Eko Hot Blog reports The five-man Presidential Election Petition Tribunal will on September 6 deliver its judgment on the petitions filed by Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi challenging the victory of Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.
The panel is headed by Justice Haruna Tsammani, with Justices Stephen Adah, Mistura Yusuf-Bolaji, Moses Ugo, and Mohammed Abba Bello as members.
Tsammani is a 64-year-old jurist who has been a Justice of the Court of Appeal since 2010. He is known for his no-nonsense approach to cases and has delivered several landmark judgments, including the one that dismissed an appeal by former Oyo State Governor Rashidi Ladoja against the election of the late Abiola Ajimobi.
Adah is a 66-year-old Justice who hails from Kogi State. He was appointed to the Court of Appeal in 2012 and has also delivered several landmark judgments, including the one that affirmed Ifeanyi Ubah as a senator in Enugu State after he was sacked over alleged certificate forgery.
Yusuf-Bolaji is the only female Justice on the panel. She is a 63-year-old jurist who was appointed to the Court of Appeal in 2014. She is known for her thoroughness and attention to detail in her judgments.
Ugo is a 57-year-old Justice who hails from Bayelsa State. He was appointed to the Court of Appeal in 2014. He is known for his humility and willingness to listen to all sides of a case before making a decision.
Bello is a 62-year-old Justice who hails from Kano State. He was appointed to the Court of Appeal in 2010. He is known for his fairness and impartiality in his judgments.
