“You can’t go into a system where somebody’s already been trained to behave in a certain kind of way and then just expect them to cut themselves off,” Cox said in the interview. “I mean, she knew what she was getting into.”
Cox, who won an Emmy award for his role in “Succession”, also claimed that the Sussexes, particularly Meghan, are not as innocent as people believe them to be.
Cox argued that Meghan “clearly” had an ambition to marry Prince Harry, which may have been a childhood dream of marrying Prince Charming. He said that the drama between Harry, Meghan, and the royal family is just another reason why the monarchy should be abolished.
“In my opinion, we shouldn’t have a monarchy,” he stated. “It’s not viable; it doesn’t make any sense. F–k it, move on.”
Cox’s comments come amidst ongoing tensions between the Sussexes and the royal family, which have intensified following their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.
