EKO HOT BLOG reports that Actor Brian Cox, who advocates for the abolition of the monarchy, has accused Meghan Markle of having lifelong ambitions of marrying into the royal family and finding her real-life fairytale.
In an interview with Haute Living New York, Cox claimed that the Duchess of Sussex was fully aware of the established “system” she became a part of and shouldn’t be surprised by the drama she has stirred up.
“You can’t go into a system where somebody’s already been trained to behave in a certain kind of way and then just expect them to cut themselves off,” Cox said in the interview. “I mean, she knew what she was getting into.”
Cox, who won an Emmy award for his role in “Succession”, also claimed that the Sussexes, particularly Meghan, are not as innocent as people believe them to be.
Cox argued that Meghan “clearly” had an ambition to marry Prince Harry, which may have been a childhood dream of marrying Prince Charming. He said that the drama between Harry, Meghan, and the royal family is just another reason why the monarchy should be abolished.
“In my opinion, we shouldn’t have a monarchy,” he stated. “It’s not viable; it doesn’t make any sense. F–k it, move on.”
Cox’s comments come amidst ongoing tensions between the Sussexes and the royal family, which have intensified following their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.
In the interview, Harry and Meghan accused the royal family of racism and neglect, among other things. Since then, the couple has made several high-profile media appearances, including a documentary series on mental health, which has drawn criticism from some quarters.
