Amazon has promised it will be a “truly unique story,” and will share more information as filming progresses.
Filming for the documentary began in December 2024, and while neither Melania Trump nor President-Elect Donald Trump have commented on the project, the executive producer role suggests she will have significant influence over its direction.
“Prime Video will be sharing more details on the project as filming progresses and release plans are finalized,” the company said in a statement.
“We are excited to share this truly unique story with our millions of customers around the world.”
Directed by Brett Ratner, who faced accusations of sexual misconduct in 2017 (denied by his lawyer), the documentary marks the latest media project for Melania, who released a best-selling memoir in October 2024.

Melania’s public appearances have been rare since leaving the White House in 2017, and reports suggest she may not live in the White House when Donald Trump returns to Washington.
The documentary announcement adds to the ongoing connections between the Trumps and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who recently made a $1 million donation to Trump’s inauguration fund and announced Amazon would stream the inauguration on Prime.
