EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nigerian gospel artist Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, have initiated legal action against five individuals for “criminal defamation.”

Following the public unveiling of their child’s face during the Easter break, numerous internet users made defamatory claims against the couple.

In response, the couple initiated legal action, leading to the Abuja magistrate court summoning five individuals for “criminal defamation.”

Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna has summoned the defendants to appear in court on April 23, 2023, to address the allegations outlined in a court summons dated April 3, 2024.
