Renowned gospel artist Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, spread festive cheer and relief to the less privileged residents of Rumudara community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, by distributing essential food items to families in need.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the couple, known for Mercy’s hit song ‘Excess Love,’ provided bags of rice, garri, cartons of tomato paste, tubers of yam, as well as cash gifts and fabrics, aiming to bring joy to the elderly, single mothers, and disadvantaged households despite Nigeria’s ongoing economic challenges.

The outreach, held on December 30, 2024, was organized through the Mercy Is Blessed Foundation, a charitable initiative under the Grace and Truth Nation, a music label co-founded by the couple.

 Pastor Uzochikwa shared the purpose of the initiative, emphasizing that the essence of Christ is love.
