Consequently, this led to the tragic deaths of Zayn Phillips, 5, and his 8-year-old sister, Alanah Phillips.
The impact occurred around 3 p.m. at Swan Boat Club in Berlin Charter Township.
During the arraignment, Marshella Chidester, 66, was accused of two counts of second-degree murder and other offenses, with her bond set at $1.5 million.
Notably, Zayn and Alanah were pronounced dead at the scene, with a third sibling sustaining severe injuries, as disclosed by Andrew Brodie, superintendent of Flat Rock Community Schools.
