The former undisputed heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, is gearing up for his return to the ring in November for a controversial crossover fight with Jake Paul.
Tyson, also known as Iron Mike, has been diligently preparing for his first match since his Covid-era encounter with Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020.
Despite being 57 years old, the International Boxing Hall of Famer has ambitious intentions to engage in a charity bout with Anthony Joshua.
When questioned about the possibility of stepping into the ring with AJ for a charitable cause, he informed TMZ, “I’m highly intrigued.”
“If doing that means we can have a bigger charity exponent, well so be it, I’m down to do that, too.
“I would love to (fight Joshua). That would be mind-blowing.”
Before contemplating a charity match with Joshua, Tyson must first overcome the challenge of facing YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, who will be 31 years younger than him on the night of the fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua has expressed his concerns for Tyson’s well-being.
During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, the 34-year-old remarked, “He’s older now.
“I pray that he comes out healthy. I think Jake Paul because of youth – that’s the only thing,” Joshua added.
The announcement of Tyson vs Paul stirred up outrage in the boxing community.
With fans expressing their disdain for the latter.
Surprisingly, Joshua is a supporter of Paul’s gimmick-driven fights.
He said, “I personally think it’s really good.
