Barely a month after leaving English Championship side, Middleborough, Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel, has signed a two-year deal with Turkish side, Trabzonspor.
The two-year deal comes with the option of a further 12 months for the former Chelsea midfielder. “A two-year and an additional year agreement was signed with the free captain of the Nigerian national team,” the Turkish club announced on their website.
The 32-year-old, who is with the Nigerian senior football team at the ongoing Africa Nations Cup, will join Ogenyi Onazi and Anthony Nwakaeme at the Turkish side due to compete in the Europa League next season.
