The Nigerian military has neutralised several Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) elements and destroyed their hideouts.

A statement issued by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major-General John Enenche on Saturday, disclosed that the airstrikes were carried out on Friday by a new subsidiary operation of Operation Lafiya Dole dubbed ‘Wutar Kabir II’.

He said the air strikes were carried out after series of aerial surveillance missions had confirmed the terrorist’s location.
