EkohotBlog reports that with the sack of two ministers, reactions continue to trail the removal of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Sabo Nanono and his Power counterpart, Mr. Sale Mamman; a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Garus Gololo, has charged the President; Muhammadu Buhari to sack other cabinet Ministers.
Gololo, a former National Coordinator of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) said in a press briefing in Abuja that the removal of the Ministers under President Buhari is applaudale and was commendable and long overdue.
However, he stressed that the President should not have replaced them with other serving Ministers who should have also been sacked for “none performance”.
Gololo maintained that none of the appointees under the present administration is performing well or have noticeable achievements in moving Nigeria forward. He named the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Gen. Babagana Mungono (Rtd.) and all the Ministers as people who had nothing to contribute to the government.
In his statement, he said “I have said this before and I’m still emphasising it, all the ministers should be shown the way out. The SGF and the NSA too should be relieved of their duties.
“Let the President bring fresh hands with fresh ideas. That is why I was not happy that he replaced the sacked Ministers with other serving Ministers who originally should be out of office too.
“Their lack of performance has caused serious embarrassment to the government of President Buhari and our great party. Let them go. Outside the COVID-19 activities, I don’t think the SGF has done any notable thing in this government. Even the NSA, Mungono is just there doing nothing, in the face of insecurity here and there. Nigerians are tired of them.
“We have more capable hands in APC that can serve in any capacity. I mean those who can assist the President achieve the goal of fighting corruption, insecurity and revamping the economy. Those who genuinely supported him during elections and are ready to help him succeed. Not these crop of persons who even lost to opposition in their Council Ward, during elections”, Gololo added.
Gololo said with his commitment to the APC, like other meaningful contributors, he can’t standby and watch unprofitable people jeopardize the party’s chances in coming elections.
He siad, “Nigerians deserve the best and they believed the President could deliver, that is why they supported him. But with this crop of persons that have nothing to offer, I’m afraid we may disappoint the people, but God forbid”.
Recall that, Gololo had in January 2021, called on President Buhari to sack his cabinet and introduce fresh faces.
