The Federal Ministry of Education has suspended a college teacher over an alleged inappropriate video conversation with a former female student.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Boriowo Folasade, called the act “totally unacceptable.” The staff member has been suspended pending investigation and disciplinary action.
Folasade stated that the suspect has been handed over to authorities for investigation and prosecution and banned from accessing the school premises.
The ministry strongly condemns any acts compromising students’ safety and dignity and promises a thorough investigation.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to a safe learning environment and vowed to ensure offenders face justice. It urged parents and the public to cooperate and report any inappropriate acts to authorities.
