Mirthful Reflections As Omoluabi Awards Holds In Epe

The 2021 Edition of Omoluabi Awards was marked amid glee and ecstasy as it’s organizers recorded a laudable feat in its bid to promote prosperity, peace and progress in Epe Division, Lagos State and Nigeria at Large.

Themed The Role of Peace Advocacy in a Cultural Diversity, The Omoluabi Awards held on Saturday 3rd April 2021at the luxurious Waterfront Suites in Epe amidst glamour and endless entertainment.

Speaking in his welcome address, Mr Yomi Agbaje, the convener of both The Omoluabi Awards and Miss Epe Division, called on Nigerians to use their individual capacities and platforms to promo peace, progress, love and harmony to take the Nation to enviable heights.

“Please, let’s take the chance and do our bit to help make Nigeria better and greater than ever before. Together we can and together we will make Nigeria rise above her myriad of challenges as Nigeria deserve a place where humanity thrives, not as tribes, but as the pride of humans who live in love, peace and harmony,” he stated.

Mr. Yomi also appreciated the First Lady of Lagos, Dr Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu who was represented by Mrs Jumoke Saliu, Eredo LCDA Chairperson, Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Epe Division, Oba Dr Shefiu Adewale, the Olu Epe of Epe, represented by High Chief Abiodun Akingbade, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr Mrs Folashade Adefisayo, represented by Mrs Jumoke Oduyemi and Engr Mrs Aramide Adeyoye, SA to Lagos State Governor on Works and Infrastructure represented by Mrs Sikirat Adenike and Other notable dignitaries for gracing the event.

He expressed his profound gratitude to Lagos State Government, Mr Tayo Ayinde, Mr Wale Musa, Prince Bayo Apena and everyone who has been supporting the brand from the outset, noting that they’ve all been a source of inspiration and partner in progress.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Yomi noted that the award ceremony was meant to celebrate, encourage and reward the noteworthy contributions of altruistic personalities whose contributions to humanity continues to hold the fabric of our fractured society together.

Mr Yomi, who commended the awardees whose nominations came on the heels of painstaking scrutiny, also noted that the theme of the awards was carefully selected as the event came at a time the Nation needs peace to progress.

Notable awardees present at the ceremony as gathered by Eko Hot Blog include Alara, Olu-Epe, Prince Bola Badejo, Madam Iyabo Osifeso, Mr Olabode Garbadeen, Chief Oriyomi Ayeola, Mr Sadioluwa Hassan, Prince Bayo Apena, Otunba Bode Ogunbamowo, Hon Moshood Balogun and a host of others.

Vibrant and promising youths from Epe Division were not left out in the celebration as Mark Osifeko, Kaka Babatunde, Gbolahan Olanipekun, Yetunde Akeushola, Bode Ogunniyi, Sonaike Omotola Idris, Quam Animashaun, Omogbolahan Ogunrin, and others clinched awards in various categories having shown flashes of brilliance in their chosen career path and endeavours for the progress of the community.
