EkoHotBlog reports that a social media user has revealed that it is possible to create a fake Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) result using an app.
This disclosure is coming due to the ongoing controversies surrounding 16-year-old Mmesoma Ejikeme of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, Anambra State, and JAMB.
EDITOR’S PICKS
JAMB had accused Mmesoma Ejikeme of forging her JAMB score (362) to emerge as the highest scorer in the 2023 UTME.
Weeks after Mmesoma Ejikeme’s claim as the 2022/2023 highest UTME scorer in Nigeria, JAMB alleged that her actual score was 249, and confirmed that Umeh Precious of Deeper Life High School (DLHS), Ogun State is the 2023 UTME’s highest scorer with 360 aggregates.
Though the Board did not disclose the name of the software or how she did it but some netizens think that Mmesoma used the JAMB fun fake app to doctor her result.
The application named “JAMB-Funfake” was discovered on both the Apple store and Google Play store by some Nigerians in a bid to get to the root of the controversies surrounding Mmesoma’s “fake UTME result.”
EkoHotBlog gathered that the JAMBFun app which has been around since July 16, 2022, is a prank app that allows users to create fake JAMB results.
