EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has insisted that results of its examinations can’t be forged.
JAMB’s Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede has said that its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, results are stored offline and not in the “cloud.”
Addressing the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee, Oloyede said this makes it “practically impossible to fake JAMB’s results.”
JAMB appeared before the committee alongside Ejikeme Mmesoma and her family over the controversy surrounding the manipulation of her UTME result.
However, Oloyede said no loopholes or vulnerabilities could be identified in the JAMB process.
According to Oloyede: “To prevent such in the future, there is need for members of the public to be careful in making unfounded statements and for them to have confidence in public institutions.
“The public should commend JAMB for its process and procedure.”
