Police operatives attached to Sagamu Road Division on Wednesday, rescued two suspected armed robbers at Sabo area of Ikorodu after they were nabbed by a mob.
The Police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the suspects were almost lynched by the angry mob in the area before they were eventually rescued by officers on patrol.
One Barretta pistol was recovered from the male suspects identified as Gbolahan Adebowale, 18, and Quadri Giwa Giwa Ajina, 21.

The police boss in Lagos, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered that the suspects be moved to the state Criminal and Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, for further investigation.
According to Adejobi, “The command will leave no stone unturned in making Lagos State safer.”
