A former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has joined others in mourning the death of the first military governor of Lagos State, Mobolaji Anthony.
The first Military Governor of Lagos State, Brig. Gen. Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson (rtd) died on Wednesday, at the age of 83.
In a statement made available to Ekohotblog.com, Obanikoro said, described the late Johnson as a man of class and decency who will be missed by all.
“It is indeed a big loss to Lagos, Nigeria and humanity. A fine soldier and gentleman. One of the founding fathers of Lagos state. A state they fought for and created in order to give indigenous people of the state a sense of pride and ownership within the Nigerian state.
“He set a standard of service that became a model for all his successors. A man of class and decency. He will be missed”, he said.
