The ceremony was held during the school’s 75th Founder’s Day anniversary at Sheraton Hotel Ikeja Lagos.
The event brought together several alumni of the prestigious institution who expressed their joy and pride in contributing to the success of the school.
Femi Talabi, an ex officio and the immediate past global president of MOCOSA, emphasized the significance of the fundraising event.
“Molusi College is our Alma mater, and most of us here are very proud of the school. It’s always our pleasure to contribute to the progress of the school, and that’s why we called for this fundraising in commemoration of its 75th anniversary,” he said.
Talabi commended the planning committee for their efforts, acknowledging the wonderful arrangement and effective time management.
He expressed gratitude for the generous funds raised during the ceremony, making the evening enjoyable for attendees.
Olaide Fowosere, the chief launcher, highlighted the honour of being invited to celebrate Molusi College’s 75th Founder’s Day anniversary.
Recognizing the school’s legacy, Fowosere noted that, “Molusi College has produced so many great Nigerians – professors, medical doctors, chartered accountants, architects, lawyers, distinguished senators, former governors, and more. Molusi College is a very good citadel of learning, and it is great.”
Abisola Ayeni, expressing her excitement, shared, “I’m so excited; it’s no joke that the school is 75 years old. We did our 50 years reunion party last year in November, so you can imagine how excited I’ll be.”
She praised the successful event, surpassing expectations, and mentioned a generous pledge of a building in addition to the funds raised.
Otunba TJ Abass, adding his congratulations, highlighted the school’s 75 years of building leaders and contributing to the nation.
He stated, “Congratulations Molusi College Ijebu Igbo, 75 years of existence, 75 years of building leaders, 75 years of leading the nation, 75 years of building the captains of industry, that is what our school stands for. I’m glad to be part of this celebration, particularly our set 69’73, we celebrated 50 yrs about a month ago.”
He reminisced about the formative years and values instilled by Molusi College, expressing gratitude for being part of the celebration.
