MOCPED matriculated 352 students on Wednesday, November 11.

Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), Noforija, Epe in affiliation with the University of Ibadan matriculated 352 new intakes on Wednesday, November 11.
In his welcome address, the Provost of the College, Associate Professor Nosiru Olajide Onibon while attesting to the assertion that students in MOCPED can compete favourable with other universities in the nation, mentioned the performance of their students in various activities/competition and one of such was the debate organized by National Association of Students of English language (NASELS) for the students of English Language South West Universities in Nigeria. UI/MOCPED student came first in the debate.

According to the Provost, the college has a smooth academic calendar without any hitch apart from the world pandemic, and despite the pandemic, the college engaged students on e-learning to ensure that their time was not wasted. All these were possible because the college is well equipped with relevant Information Communication Technologies (ICT).
The College has an ICT centre that is well equipped to cater to relevant needs of students and staff, Onibon said.
He further said that MOCPED has zero-tolerance for cultism, hooliganism and corruption and therefore advised the students to be of good conduct, shun examination malpractice and other vices that can put their career in jeopardy.
The Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor Abel Idowu Olayinka, represented by Professor Kolawole Akinsola, said the matriculation exercise is coming several months late due to the Coronavirus pandemic which the whole world is currently battling with.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, it is a great privilege to be a member of the University of Ibadan, which has a proven track record and reputation for academic excellence as well as a trusted and tested solid reputation for the quality in its graduates.
The vice-chancellor further stated that the mission of the University is to expand the frontiers of knowledge as well produce all-round developed graduates who will contribute to the transformation of the society.
He further said that the University will not in any way shirk in its responsibility to produce highly disciplined and responsible student and that the Universities places a high premium on moral uprightness.
