Gbadegesin, also informed the Parents, Guardians, Head Teachers, Proprietors and Proprietresses of prospective candidates that the Screening Test would be conducted through Computer-Based Testing (CBT) only.
According to him, only qualified pupils in both Public and Private Schools are to pay the sum of N10,000 each and late registration will attract an additional penalty of N5,000.
He said the registration of candidates will be done through the PIN, which will be issued by the Board, to enable the applicants to log in and upload their bio-data on the portal.
While clarifying that the Screening Test is the only yardstick for admission into JSS1 in any of the Model Colleges, Gbadegeshin disclosed that only Primary Six pupils are eligible for the test and candidates that excel and meet the required cut off marks would be offered admission into any of the Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools, irrespective of his or her first or second choice of schools.
The Director, therefore, advised eligible candidates to visit the Accounts Department of the Board for payment details.
“In line with the State Government’s Revenue Policy, payment should be made through the Central Billing System (CBS). A copy of the bank teller showing payment should also be returned to the same Accounts Department of the Board for validation of payment and issuance of an official receipt”, he said.
