Mohbad’s Family Rejects Plans For Anniversary Celebrations
The family of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, has expressed strong disapproval of plans to mark the first anniversary of the musician’s death.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, and the circumstances surrounding his death remain unresolved.

In a statement issued by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the family’s legal team, the Aloba family urged individuals and organizations considering commemorative events to suspend their plans.
The family emphasized their desire to mourn Mohbad privately without reopening old wounds.
The statement highlighted concerns that some parties might exploit Mohbad’s memory for commercial gain.
Mohbad Anniversary
It reads, “The Aloba family has learned that certain organizations are planning to celebrate the first anniversary of our late son and singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad).
“We appeal to these groups to halt such plans.
“It is well known that various individuals and organizations are preparing events to mark the late singer’s death. We request that they seek proper approval from the family before proceeding.
The Aloba family does not wish for their son’s memory to be used for commercial purposes.”
