Apart from old students of Molusi College, Ijebu Igbo, the installation ceremony at Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, was attended by the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, several traditional rulers including the Olota of Ota & the Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo, Past rotary district Governors, Current District Governors, and fellow Rotarians.

During his inaugural speech, Dr. Kukoyi announced that the star project for the year will be building and equipping a sickle cell disease centre in Ogun State.

“The star project for our year will be the building and equipping of the sickle cell disease centre, and I am happy to announce that the Ogun State Government has donated a piece of land, and after that, the foundation laying of this project was done on Wednesday, 3rd of July, and that tells you that we are ready for action,” he stated.

In support of this effort, his fellow old students of Molusi College said they were committing N3 million.

The school’s ‘69/’73 set said they were proud of their old classmate’s accomplishments as he pursues a new noble project.

“It was an exciting moment for us as a Set today when one of us, Wole Kukoyi, was installed as the pioneer Rotarian District Governor of Rotary District 9111. He really made us proud,” one of the Molusi College old students, Bunmi, stated.

Dr. Kukoyi’s former classmate, who urged their fellow old students to donate towards the N3 million pledge, expressed optimism that they will surpass the amount.

“Considering what Kukoyi is to us, I am convinced that our donations towards this pledge will exceed the three million naira mark,” Dr Bayo Odeniyi urged.
