Eko Hot Blog reports that the Molusi College Old Students Association (MOCOSA) has called on members to renew and raise their vigour in contributing the successful operation of their alma mater.
The association made the plea on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at an award ceremony in the school’s Assembly hall.
The ceremony, which was hosted by MOCOSA to celebrate the 75th Founder’s Day anniversary, was aimed at recognizing and celebrating individuals whose tremendous contributions and impact had been felt across the four halls of the institution.
The chairman of the 75th Founder’s Day Anniversary, Venerable Dr Abayomi Odeniyi expressed his pleasure with the executives, members of the planning committee, Molusians who had contributed to the success of the anniversary and others present.
“I am pleased with the dedication of the executives, planning committee members, Molusians, and all contributors to the success of the 75th Founder’s Day Anniversary,” said Odeniyi.
He disclosed the significance of the awards given to those chosen, emphasising that it’s an encouragement for them to do more.
Odeniyi, who is also MOCOSA Global Vice President 2 (VP2) charged others to render their support for the progress of the college.
“The award bestowed upon the chosen individuals signifies encouragement for greater endeavours. I urge others to lend their support for the advancement of the college,” he stated.
He mentioned the target for this anniversary which is 75 million naira, appreciating all who have contributed to ensure the target is met.
“Our target for this anniversary is 75 million naira, and I express gratitude to all who have contributed to ensure we meet this goal,” added Odeniyi.
The gathering was thrilled with performances from the students of the school.
Recipients of the awards were called out and presented with the awards in recognition of their immense contribution to the school, within their set and to the world at large.
Amongst those awarded were Otunba TJ Abass, Abayomi Hussein, Tayo odugbesan, Daniel Oluwatosin, Adekunle Ogunsanwo, Dapo Kehinde, Prince Adebola Yusuf, Aare Adini Odulaja, Coker Olayemi, Hon. Balogun Waheed, Tele Olawole, Rev. Sola Ogunbanjo, and many more.
The ceremony concluded with words of appreciation from awardees and other alumni of Molusi College.
Molusians also held a brief feast within the school Premises, reminiscing about old times and recounting the joy of being a Molusian.
