EKO HOT BLOG reports that renowned Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, who recently achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking period, has opened up about her journey to success and her aspirations for the future.
Baci captivated audiences by showcasing her culinary skills for an astounding 100 hours, surpassing the previous record set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.
Responding to her historic achievement, Guinness World Records released a statement on their official Twitter handle, expressing their awareness of Baci’s remarkable record attempt and the need for a thorough review of the evidence before officially confirming the record.
During an interview with TVC, Baci shared the challenges she faced on her path to becoming a celebrated chef. She revealed that she had experienced homelessness in the past but has now set her sights on expanding her business by offering cooking tutorials to clients worldwide.
Furthermore, Baci urged young women to defy societal stereotypes and pursue their dreams fearlessly.
She emphasized,
“I want young women to realize that they are more than the stereotypes imposed by society. There is always a narrative that suggests you cannot succeed without someone else creating a platform for you. I speak from personal experience because I used to believe that. I had to prove to myself and others that it is possible to achieve success. You can start a business, cook from home, and gradually build it up until you can open a physical location, expand, and diversify. However, it requires dedication and hard work. It is not an easy journey.”
Baci revealed that her current success is the result of a dedicated process, unknown to many who see only the present buzz surrounding her. She shared that there were times when she was homeless, highlighting the significant transformation she has undergone.
Looking beyond her current achievements, Baci disclosed her plans to establish a larger space for her culinary ventures due to the growing demand for her services.
She also expressed her intention to develop a cookware line, catering to the specific needs of food vendors, home cooks, and content creators.
Baci aims to curate a collection that aligns with Nigerian cuisine, which she believes has immense potential. Additionally, she plans to host masterclasses to share her expertise with students from around the world.
Hilda Baci’s inspiring story serves as a testament to the power of determination and perseverance. From her humble beginnings, she has risen to become a celebrated chef, captivating audiences with her culinary prowess.
As she continues to make a name for herself, Baci remains focused on her future goals, determined to make a lasting impact on the culinary world.
