Moscow’s defenses has repelled a massive attack by 45 Ukrainian drones, one of the largest assaults since the conflict began in 2022.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the capital’s robust defenses destroyed all drones heading towards Moscow.
The overnight battle saw 11 drones downed over the Moscow region, 23 over Bryansk, six over Belgorod, three over Kaluga, and two over Kursk, where Ukrainian forces have been making incursions.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin described the attack as “one of the biggest attempts of all time to attack Moscow using drones.”
He credited the city’s strong defenses for successfully shooting down all the drones before they could strike their intended targets.
Sobyanin’s Telegram channel statement emphasized the effectiveness of Moscow’s defenses, showcasing the city’s preparedness against such threats.
