Moscow, Kyiv Exchange Blame For Drone Attacks As War Takes New Turn

  • Russia accused Ukraine of launching a drone attack on Moscow early Tuesday, causing minor injuries and damage to several buildings.

  • Ukraine, however, denied involvement in the alleged terrorist activity.

  • Meanwhile, in Kyiv, Ukrainian air defenses destroyed 29 Iranian-made drones launched at the capital overnight, killing one person and injuring 13 others.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Russia has accused Ukraine of launching a drone attack on Moscow early Tuesday, which left two people injured and several buildings damaged.

This incident in the Russian capital is rare after months of war, whereas residents in Kyiv have faced 17 airstrikes this month.

The Russian capital was hit by drones, leaving at least three residential buildings damaged.

Putin blamed Kyiv for choosing to intimidate Russian citizens by targeting residential buildings and called it a clear sign of terrorist activity. However, Ukraine has denied direct involvement in the drone attack.  

Meanwhile, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Russian private military company Wagner launched expletive-laden criticism at Russian defense ministry over its failure to keep up with drone technology.

In Kyiv, Ukraine’s air defenses destroyed 29 Iranian-made Shahed drones launched at the capital overnight.
