EKO HOT BLOG reports that motorists were yesterday thrown into panic following an attack by armed robbers on Eko Bridge in Lagos State.
Eko Bridge is one of the three bridges linking Lagos Island with the Mainland.
A road user, who recounted the latest attack via her Twitter handle@iamTheRere, said the armed robbers brought the Apongbon End of the Eko Bridge to a standstill at around 8:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday night as road users scampered for safety.

She wrote, “Guys!!! Robbery ongoing on apongbon Eko bridge. Don’t come this way. We’re all stuck. Going and coming. Just stay where you are.”
According to her, the robbers left the scene in a getaway car towards Lagos Island, adding that commuters fled the Bridge to avoid stray bullets from the robbers’ sporadic shooting.
It would be recalled that a social media user had last month reported an armed robbery attack that occurred on the same bridge as car owners had to abandon their vehicles and scampered for safety.
